Prime Minister of Georgia affirms non-recognition of Kosovo GazetaExpress

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, commented on Georgia's inability to recognise Kosovo during a meeting with visiting Serbian government officials, including Deputy Minister Rasim Ljajic and Minister of State Administration Branko Ruzic.

Kvirikashvili clarified Georgia's position on recognising Kosovo during the meeting, reaffirming to Serbian officials that Georgia still remains in a position of non-recognition for Kosovo's independence from Serbia.

The purpose of this meeting was to improve relations between Georgia and Serbia, specifically in the tourism sector.

According to Kvirikashvili, Georgia will not recognise Kosovo "since the principles of inviolability of borders and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states must be the basis for overall stability in international relations."
